Vehicle Thefts
On Thursday at approximately 6 AM the Muskegon Police arrested 2 persons who were breaking into cars in the Bluffton and Beachwood neighborhoods. These individuals, according to neighborhood reports, were arrested between Nelson and West Harbour Towne Circle... west of Docker's parking lot. It is believed that these individuals were only entering vehicles which were parked outside.
If your vehicle was entered on January 4th or 5th (locked or unlocked) and items were taken... please contact the Muskegon police at (724-6792 - non emergency number or 911).
If you are leaving a vehicle in your driveway please remember to lock the doors and roll the window up tight. Also do not leave inviting items like cell phones, garage door openers, purses, etc... in plain sight.
Our Police contact for the Bluffton Beachwood Neighborhood is Muskegon Police Officer Josh DeHoag (724-6734). He is available at the Celebration Church, 1260 West Sherman (between 5pm to 7pm - routine office hours) the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please stop by and introduce yourself in order to stay apprised of what suspicious activity is occurring in our neighborhood and what we all can do to better protect ourselves and others.
Thank you!
