Summer
A cool summer so far, but a very pleasant one.
The greater Muskegon area is a flurry of activity in the summer (Party in the Park, Summer Celebration, Cabelas Salmon Fishing Contest, Bike Week, Woodstock (excuse me Rothbury), Coast Guard Festivals, Lake Express Ferry and on and on! If you can’t find something new and different every weekend then you are not trying.

Board Talk
Our Lake was treated for weeds and algae in June. We have sprayed for ants and spiders and cleaned the windows and are busy pruning the flowers and shrubs. We have planted a dozen or so replacement trees and barked the area and are busily painting 7 buildings this year!

On May 14, 2008 the Condominium Board voted to reduce the Board Membership from 6 to 5. members, to ease the difficulty in attracting qualified members and eliminate the potential for a 3 to 3 voting tie.

We have three long term Board Members leaving this year with a combined service time of 18 years!

From the bottom of all our hearts, we THANK Each of YOU for your many contributions and the countless hours you spent in making Harbour Towne a premier place to live!
· Dan Burling 5 years Service
· Jim DeVries 4years Service
· Bud Kemperman 9 years Service (includes 6 years of Condo Board and 3 years of Developer Board experience).

On Behalf of the entire Condominium Board allow us to welcome our two newest Condominium Board Members:
· Dan Weller
1440 East Harbour Towne Circle
· Jim Geisler
1659 East Harbour Towne Circle

Bud Tips

Here are some helpful tips from Bud Kemperman: 1. Remove and clean or replace your Humidifier pad and turn off the water supply line.
2. Replace your furnace filter.
3. Remove and clean your window screens now that the cottonwood tree fuzz has stopped.
4. Clean inside windows and reinstall screens.
5. When you walk around Harbour Towne (especially Monday after refuse collection) take a plastic bag with you and pick up any litter, or storm debris that collects around storm drains after a heavy rain..
6. Adding a portable dehumidifier to your lower level will decrease your overall humidity and enhance the performance of your air conditioning.
7. Portable fire pits and charcoal or propane grills are an extreme fire hazard and should not be operated within 10 feet or any wood structures.

2008 Painting Schedule

This year seven buildings are schedule for painting (buildings 10, 19, 31, 36, 37, 39 & 40).
The painting contract was awarded to RP Hunter “ Richard Stutzman.”
